So the king who was embarrassed of his sons lack of intelligence reached out to one of the most wise men in the land. Basically offered him a great amount of money to educate his sons. Vishnusharman took the boys and began to teach. He made them read five different books and within in the matter of six months they had made strides in their intelligence.
The story is from the Panchatantra Unit, from Frametale Stories. Wisdom tales told in nested stories within stories style.

Hi Madee! I noticed the comic book cover you used for the illustration: we actually have all those comic books on Reserve in Bizzell! They are for the Indian Epics class, but they are available to anyone and they are a fun way to do extra credit reading. Anyway, if you like comic books, here's all the info about the Panchantantra comic books (the same ones as in that book you used for the image) here: ACK Comics in Bizzell. Each comic book counts as an extra credit reading thing, and they are a lot of fun! I like the idea that we have comic books in Bizzell that actually come from India. :-)
